Starting on Monday, September 17th, the BCHOA is scheduled to start the culvert replacement project on Tete L’Ours Dr. (between Catalpa Lane and Bayou Villas I & II). Starting early Monday morning (between 7:30 am and 8:00 am) we will be closing a section of the roadway in both directions. This section will remain closed approximately a week to perform the work. During road closures, all condominium driveways will be accessible for residents. Grand Cheniere & Bayou Villa III condominiums will be accessible from the intersection of Longwood Dr. and Tete L’Ours Dr. Bayou Villas I & II condos will be accessible from the intersection of N. Beau Chene Dr. and Tete L’Ours Dr. There will be NO Thru Traffic on the 600 block of Tete L’Ours Dr.
The work will include:
• Removal of the asphalt road and old culverts
• Installation of new polymer coated metal culverts
• Fill in and pack with limestone and clay material and allow to compact. During compaction the roads will be fully opened again.
• The final step is to replace the asphalt roadway during our 2018 scheduled asphalt repaving project planned to commence later in October or early November.
All work progress will be subject to weather conditions. Residents and guests will need to plan their routes around the work area. The work area will be identified with road signs indicating road closure and detours.
